Thanksgiving and the holiday season has got me thinking again on what my blog is turning into. Nothing horrible, but I think I have a lot to improve upon for next year.

As December suddenly made its way into my hectic lifestyle, a few important and very exciting things have started occurring to me… and I guess it centers mostly on family.

Being away from my family this past Thanksgiving was a little difficult, but Andrea and I made the most of it through spending some quality time at Disneyland. Honestly, it was a really fun trip, and I’m still going through withdrawls. (the car ride home was horrible) But that being said, I can hardly wait for Christmas to come. Not only will I get to go home, but I’m totally excited to see my family, friends, and eat good food. Just thinking about it now makes me ansy.

And although I know this has no relevance to anything in search or social, I’ve really felt the strong desire to tell you now just how I feel. Actually, I was visiting a blog of my friends who is in Japan teaching. Recently, Julia has been updating her blog on holiday plans, food posts, and pictures of her daughter, who is just too cute. It is the highly personal things (from family and friends) that really make me come back to a blog to read more and continue to stay updated. I may think I’m more into reading up on my professional area of expertise, but I think when it comes down to it, friends, family, and thoughts of comfort (home) is what makes me the most happiest.

And so I guess this brings me back to my blog. No personal pictures, no stories of my family, and not even a steady post rate. As a blogger, I’d have to say I deserve the grade of a strong C-. There is a lot to improve upon, but more importantly, I’m thinking I don’t really want to lecture in my posts anymore, but communicate more along the lines of talking and discussing. I know I’m a month early, but I think a good new years resolution for me is to push out 5 times as many posts as I did this year. (I don’t think that will be too hard) I’ll try more.

Peace

Just got to work to find myself all alone. I like this time of day. I feel more at ease with working I think or something, I dunno. Any ways, work has been going fine. Nothing too out of the ordinary, but I’m starting to feel a little lost. I’m more excited than ever to begin working with the SEO and PPC campaigns, though I’m not sure when that will really be. I’ve set up some short and long term goals for myself though so we’ll see how that pans out. In terms of career status though, I really don’t know where I fit in with this company right now. I kind of thought I knew, but the more I’m here, the more I seem just a little out of whack or at least not in the middle. That’s probably fine for now, but I think a look at my role and the future possibilities of it is in order, at least in the coming year. I know it’s only been a month and a half, but I’m already seeing issues. Nothing bad.. just issues.

Moving on to more exciting news, next week is Thanksgiving! Thank God. I’ve been looking forward to going home for quite some time now, but it wasn’t until this weekend when I really realized I longed for it hardcore. Seeing the family, eating the food, sleeping in, it sounds so heavenly right now. More later.. or at least sooner to the actual day.

I suppose it’s now time to get to work. I think today I’m going to try and finish up my recommendations for Microsoft AdCenter, and then maybe go in and begin working with the campaigns tomorrow or something. Then I have that AdWords Webinar tomorrow too. Well we’ll see. Might work on some writing as well. Who knows. Peace

With my first week of work at (Employer Reference Removed), I have to honestly say I’m pretty happy. Long gone are my tech agency days. Now, I have clear cut goals, personal goals, and tasks that aren’t necessarily quota based. With that being said, I think this is the best job I’ve had so far… then again, it’s only been a week.

Andrea has gone home for Canadian Thanksgiving, which is pretty depressing. Yeah, I know I was by myself in Seattle while she was here by herself, but it’s a little different. Well it feels a little different to me at least. No matter, the weekend is over with and I’ve got a full week of work ahead of me. That will hopefully make my time go by faster. We’ll see though I suppose.

Oh, if you want to see something I did in my spare time, check out…

It’s nothing special or anything, plus I really didn’t fix all the glitchy spots, but it’s something. Make a comment or rate it if you have the time. I’m thinking of making some original music sometime in the near future. That way, I can call it my own. Wouldn’t that be great.. hehe. If anything does come up, be sure to check it out as well. In the mean time, check out this incredibly cool song.

Bye for now. Gotta to get to sleep so that I can work in the morning. Sorry this was a lame entry, and I know I was supposed to put up some pictures of the new place, but I think Andrea has my camera. Next time hopefully.
